Advisory Board
Mission Statement for Friends of Wood County CASA®: The Friends of Wood County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a nonprofit organization which lends support to the Wood County Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad litem Program through fund raising, promoting public awareness, and monitoring the fiscal and administrative needs of the organization.
Board members are expected to:
- serve as a liaison between the Wood County CASA/GAL and the community
- determine specific objectives of the Wood County CASA/GAL program
- assist in the formulation and execution of programs to meet community needs
- provide for the financial needs of the Wood County CASA/GAL by developing fundraising programs
- attend regular and special meetings of the Board and its committees
Board members are asked to become actively involved in some or all of the following activities:
- Public relations
- Fund raising
- Long-term program planning
- Volunteer recruitment and recognition
- Board member recruitment
- Financial management
