How Can You Help ?

For those who do not feel that becoming a CASA®/GAL Volunteer is possible for them at this time, there are other ways that you may be able to assist the program. Contact the CASA/GAL Program office and offer your assistance or request ideas.

Consider these ideas:

1. Tell others about the needs of abused, neglected and dependent children in our communities.

2. Invite the Speaker's Bureau to talk about the CASA/GAL volunteer Program at your next organization or community group meeting.

3. Consider serving on the Friends of Wood County CASA non-profit advisory board.

4. Financial supports in form of donations or memorials.

5. Purchase Friends of Wood County CASA notecards by calling the CASA/GAL Program office at 419-352-3554. (Notecards may be seen at the Friends of CASA pages of this website.)

6. In-kind donations to assist with a variety of projects. Contact the program for details regarding this.

7. Purchase an "Ohio CASA Celebrate Kids" license plate.  For an additional $25 at your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles, you may purchase a "Celebrate Kids plate" (shown below). A portion of the funds assists the Ohio CASA Association and portion is distributed to local CASA Programs as funds are available.  You may also claim some of this cost as a tax deduction as it is a donation to the Ohio CASA/GAL Association.
