WHO IS A CASA VOLUNTEER?

CASA/GAL volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for children’s best interest in the court system.

CASA volunteers are community members of all ages (21 and up) and all walks of life who want to help children in Wood County.

WHAT CHILDREN ARE IN NEED?

Children in need of a CASA volunteer are suffering abuse or neglect, and are often in the foster care system.

Volunteers work with legal and child welfare professionals, educators and service providers to ensure judges have all the information needed to make the most well-informed decisions for each child.

WHAT IMPACT CAN A CASA VOLUNTEER HAVE?

This best interest advocacy can make a life-changing difference for children in need. We have operated a CASA program since 1988.
