      Question, Persuade, and Refer Training
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. In this 1.5 hour training, participants will learn how to recognize suicide warning signs and how to respond if these signs are present, how to ask someone about the presence of suicidal thoughts and/or feelings and how to offer hope. A Conversation on the U.S. Constitution with Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew L. Reger
The Constitution stands at the center of our democratic republic and serves as the owner’s manual for all citizens. But much like the owner’s manual for anything else a person buys ,how much do you know about the Constitution? Why are we a republic and what does that mean? How does this document work within our complex legal system? What are the six independent rights found in the first Amendment? Has determining who is a citizen always been controversial? These questions and so many others will be discussed with Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew L. Reger and Attorney Chet Marcin on Wednesday, September 17 at 7:00 pm. This public event is meant to explain the Constitution from a legal perspective and entertain questions about its enduring influence on our daily lives. Come and be part of the conversation about your citizen user manual.
This event is presented by the Bowling Green Exchange Club. No registration is required.
